kiX! kiX! RM94's Hyperfixations
What is it?

KiX!, now known as Pop Max, is a male tween-targeted channel which branding lasted from 2008 up until 2017. From that time, they broadcasted a plethera of imported anime, animated & live-action shows, such as Power Rangers, Clay Kids and Sonic X.

When did you develop an interest to it and how?

Kix was one of the first channels that I've discovered and loved on my Sky+ Digibox. The boisterous tone of the channel alongside a brilliant mixture of programmes absolutely caught my 6-9 year old mind. And because I liked Oggy & The Cockroaches and Power Rangers a lot...

Why does this interest me in general?

Similar to Trouble, Kix was like one of those channels that only comes around once in a lifetime. With such a improper and surfer-dude type of channel with brilliant shows, it definitely felt like a channel that prefectly catered young me, as I loved every second of it, but without the BMX or hardcore sports, and stuff... Unfortunately, with the Kix brand now dead and with the channel itself being overrun with nothing but Total DramaRama and Miraculous, it doesn't really feel like Kix anymore and more like a secondary channel of Pop. Besides, I grew up with the original version of Kix, and it rocked. HARD.
