Radio 538 is a well-known Pop Music and Dance station from The Netherlands, which name references the wavelength Veronica broadcasted on in the 70s. Well known for the Coen & Sander Show, Global Dance Chart Top 40 and the 538 Top 50.

I first discovered the station in 2019 whilst sifting through Wisebuddah's collection of jingles. The high-octaned energy that the imaging displayed caught my interest in the station and therefore become one of my favourite stations in the world.

I don't know what exactly is about this station that draws me to it, but it feels so refreshing to have a station be this popular, be so oddly niche, yet out loud and controversial. The imaging is wild and full of energy, the branding is simple, yet extremely expressive and says so much about the station, even the name harkens back to older days whilst putting a fresh twist into the heritage days. Radio 538 is a station that is so recognisable, all you need is the numbers and people know what you're talking about. It is the station that is proudly the beat in my moment.
