The Box was a music channel that is owned by The Box Plus Network, a sub-sidiary of Channel 4 and Bauer Media, focusing on music videos and music-related programming. The channel then closed down in June 2024 to plan for Channel 4's future sustainability.

I discovered The Box back in 2013 as a part of my music channel obsession at the time and I absolutely loved it. I don't know exactly what I liked about it but the RGB era and the Anti-Grav era were probably some of my favourite idents at the time.

The Box was the channel that got me into the music that I constantly listen to today. The mixutre of pop music was what got me addicted to the channel in general. It was like a televised version of radio, which was what the music-voting kinda aimed to replicate. Not to mention those hard to find idents, it kind of gives it a rush whenever you find another piece of it's history. Sadly, it seems like the whole focal point of the channel seems to be forgotten from the public's mind as it only focuses on music videos, but I think that's a better compromise than straight up killing the channel... of which they eventually did for sustainability purposes. Darn it. But hey, it was fun whilst it lasted.
