Progress: Ongoing (since 2022)Client: Bauer Media / Hits Radio NetworkDuring the summer of 2022, the original concept of Neue-Flower came to be when undergoing research for the third phase of my conceptual rebrand for the Hits Radio Network, involving all the network stations developing their own singular identity under one brand. After identifying the practicality and overall effort required to develop over 20 different and unique identities for one network, the idea of unifying all stations under 1 recognizable symbol came to be. After 9 whole months of development and research, 12 idents were made with additional assistance from Lyric West for the recreations of the fonts "Handel Radio" and "Party Flower", both widely used within the 00's era of the stations. The jingles that were used in this project involved the 2014-2018 "Your Music, Your Life" imaging package, co-developed by Bauer Imaging & Wisebuddah. The rebrand is entirely comprised of the 7-pronged blorbious flower used across the EMAP network of the 00's, adopting a unique trailing effect across a brightly coloured and energetic world of pop music and electronic rhythm, with a mixture of 2D and 3D kinetic typography and flower-based elements. It also aims to be as flexible as possible to support both promotional and content production in an efficient and stylish manner. Each station also has it's own different color pallete based on older logos to help add an element of differentiation and uniqueness to their heritage serving area. Later in the spring of 2025, one major flaw was noted throughout development that slowly began to pop up, involving inconsistency and mis-managed assets invovled within the project. With this logic in mind, the project was entirely rehauled and reworked from the ground up to help make ident production and consistency between assets more faster and efficient, hoping to meet demands of an always evolving landscape. The new revamped project promises to be bigger, louder and full of energy, encorperating the aesthetics of Frutiger Metro and urban styles, and meshing them together to form a unique and head-bopping style of branding that's highly adaptable across many forms of media, from television to magazines, on-air and outdoor advertising. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Project Neue-Flower and it's revised version has shown to be a massive success, which has also resulted in the jingles used fot the project creating a cult-following. The project has also gained interest from figures inside the radio industry, involving Chris Ward (head of imaging of the imaging package), Marc Vickers (composer of the original jingles) and Chris Nicoll (founder of WizzFX and station sound director of Bauer Media)
